The Region 2000 Local Government Council (LGC), a long-time client of ours, came to us with a desire to do a quarterly newsletter. This newsletter was to be both visually captivating and informational. The challenge was that this newsletter needed to integrate into the website in a seamless way. Luckily, LGC called on the right people to get the job done.

From copy editing to supplying visuals, we were able to work with LGC to create a successful newsletter to give readers the latest news happening in Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, Forest and Lynchburg, Virginia. Now you've got a little bit of the gossip, keep reading to get the whole scoop!

The Website

The first step to the process was getting the articles onto the website. Using a blog function that comes with the Joomla! CMS, we were able to create a visually appealing, blog-like newsletter on the site.

Mailchimp

Utilizing Mailchimp for the email portion of the newsletter, we were able to create a seamless experience for the user. Once the user received their email newsletter they were able to either see the full issue or a specific article that caught their eye.
