When it comes to Stimulus Advertising Interns, we go the extra mile to show them the ins and outs of the design world. On Monday, April 17th Lynn and the gang visited Smyth Co. in Bedford Virginia to learn more about the process of label design and printing.

Smyth Co. bought the former Piedmont Label company in 1997 and specializes in the production of labels for major brands including Reeses, Del Monte, Clorox and many others. Smyth has been in business since 1877 and retains a policy of sustainability and dependability in their products.

The tour began in the offices of the graphic designers and prepress specialist and progressed through the route that a label would take on its journey to completion. The Stimulus Advertising Crew were able to view a variety of printing tools that specialize in certain color treatments, paper styles and coating abilities, adding a hands on experience to their design understanding, ending with the sorting and packaging of the labels.

Everette Fauber, Jr. and quickly became the premier firm in Lynchburg. Mr. Fauber developed his reputation on a local and regional level with a variety of project types that focused on providing his clients with an attention to architectural detailing that brought a richness and sense of place to his creations.
